Great tips to stop your dog jumping up at visitors in the home

Jumping up (greeting or inappropriate behaviour) is a big problem for many pet owners.

This is also the most to gain by shouting at the dog, pushing a dog or even 'dance' around trying to prevent the strengthening of the dog. All of the above to give the dog what he wants, your attention and congratulations!

Additional Note

After 30 minutes if your dog is still jumping, still ignored him.

If after 30 minutes, your dog just try harder and for longer next time! Their backs on him and wait, he will eventually give.

It usually consists of fast and chewing on their clothes and feet. If your dog leaves the room.

If you shout or push him (well, it hurt!), You now have a new behavior is rewarded.

  • Ignore your dog when they enter your home and your visitors to do the same. A good rule of thumb for many dogs is about 20 minutes. You need to pretend you do not even own a dog and your dog simply walks away.

  • If your dog jumped up, simply walk away until the peace of mind.
  • Do a great deal of leaving home and not return. Just like when you say goodbye or enthusiastic greeting when you simply leave the room to the tea cup pa.
  • When you have visitors, you can teach your dog the command to wait on solids so that I rushed to embrace his work.
  • With visitors again, you can simply put your dog on his lead when people arrive. Let your dog to go forward to welcoming its visitors without saying anything. Visitors should ignore the dog. Hug your dog, give her the lead. After 30 seconds, and repeat back to him. You just need to quickly and calmly. Most dogs will stop and try to jump after about 10 iterations.
  • You can also tethering your dog to the banister when visitors try to enter. Ask your visitors to greet your dog until your down to Earth. If that approach is or he jumped, they simply turn away and step away from. Repeat until your dog learns that he is not going to hide until he is calm.
  • Make sure you reward the behaviour you want from your dog's true.
  • Make sure that everyone is consistent with the rules. Do not understand that it is good for your dog jump on you when they are clean, but not when they are covered in mud!
  • Finally, if you have children, you must train their children to understand the rules!
